Abu Dhabi International Airport handled 32,739 tonnes of cargo in July, a year on year increase of 2.5%.
For the year to date (Jan-July), the airport has handled 207,326 tons of cargo, an increase of 1.3% on the same period last year.
Mohammed Al Bulooki, vice president of airline marketing and aeronautical revenue, said: "While the outlook for our industry remains subdued, Abu Dhabi International Airport continues to achieve impressive growth.
"We are benefiting from strong market fundamentals in Abu Dhabi and the stable economy.
Passenger numbers also grew in the July and January-July periods.
For the month of July, passenger throughput reached 923,124 people, growth of 10.3% over the same month in 2008.
London emerged as the busiest destination in July with 50,900 passengers, followed by Bangkok with 40,465 passengers.
For the year to date (Jan-July), passenger throughout reached 5,526,000, an increase of 8.5% year on year.
